I have been playing for roughly 6 months now, and have managed to collect my fair share of quest items, and other shiny (yet monetarily worthless) things.
So I was wondering, what are some cool items like this, and where are they found? So far I have:
-Gwen's broken flute, found just outside ascalon city behind Gwen's flaming house

(I miss you Gwen...)
-Elonian Mirror, from that factions quest
-4 votive candles, from Necro Pre-sear quest

Obviously, I have a long way to go before I have them all. But I think it would be cool to have all this strange and rare junk, just because no one else does.

I will bow to you if you manage to save all those quest items ^^ I usually throw them in the dumpster when they are no longer needed

(except Gwen's stuff.. I kept that around.. Just in case.. I miss her too..)

I am still determined to keep my devourer egg no matter what, ive had it for 10 months now, didnt know to give it to the farmer so I kept it. So if you can hear me Anet, make it hatch already!!!

That would be a fun idea to let people have devourer mini pets

They are already quite worthless nowadays (see them go for 5k :S) so why not? New players would at least appreciate them ^^

Friend of mine has 50+ red pre-searing flowers in his storage...

He hasnt played for months, and currently has a problem with his vcard.

i have also about 300 red iris flowers from presearing in my storage :P i give them to people who help me out on whatever when i did not ask for it just to show that i like the help they give me...

85 Zaishen Medallions, Tapestry Shred of course, 1 Festival Ticket, 1 Victory Token, 1 Branch of Juni Berries (from NF, doesn't seem to have a real use yet), and I could go on...

I just keep them because i like the icon of it, or just for it's commemorative value (Candy Cane Weapons for Wintersday, and so on)...

Up until a month ago I had 1 of each candy cane weapon from the last windersday event. Had to rubbish them due to lack of storage

You should get the Letter To Mom quest item. Its from a quest given in one of the two towns after Gyala Hatchery. It might be the first town but im not sure.

Excellent idea! I love stuff like that. Though, I suspect you'll need several mule characters devoted solely to holding all the stuff. There really are A LOT of quest items in just Prophecies, not even considering the other two chapters.

I suspect you could gather all this and still complete quests. Do the quest up to the point you get the goody; put goody in storage (or drop on ground/have a friend hold in pre; ) abandon quest; retake quest and get new goody to complete with.

My list is nowhere near complete, I'm sure, but how about ...

a hunters horn

a poisonous stinger (one of my personal favorites)

That's just the stuff from Chapter 1 that I can think of off the top of my head. It'd be interesting to complile a list of every quest item from each chapter, to see the grand total and for the memories.

I'm working through NF now, and it seems to me I've seen more quest items than I did in Factions but less than Prophecies. I don't have many memorized yet, but these spring to mind.

Quest items makes such wonderful dividers to keep from selling your good stuff. My personal favorite is still the Ice. I try to keep a quest item who's graphic matches the character they are on. For a little while I had a Juicy Heket Leg on my necro.

They should just make an easter egg hunt to find them all. Rewarded with a title per campaign when you find then all.

I started collecting the Red Iris Flowers after I was given 1 dozen one day near Valentine's from a very special friend.
After he gave them to me, whenever he would make a new character, he'd gather them in pre-searing and give them to me.
Now others give them to me (I use the name Iriss ingame), and I'm up to over 750.

And yeah, swamp flower petals. But I give those away to new people doing the dye quest.

I still have all the Gwen items. I have 2 tattered capes. One says Quest Item the other says it's a Salvage Item. The ones that say Salvage Item don't drop at all any more. Someday Gwen! I'm gonna find you!

I assume most of you that have gotten far enough in NF have the Preserved Iris Flower also.

Nightfall is different in that some quest items have a use. For example: Iboga Petals and Drake Kabobs give buffs in PvE sort of like Candy Canes.
